The Punta Aderci Nature Reserve is considered by many to be the most spectacular stretch of the Abruzzo coastline. The nature reserve includes the famous Mottagrossa beach, voted one of the fifteen most beautiful beaches in Italy. The long sandy beach of Punta Penna extends into the pebble beach of Libertini, in the shadow of a cliff that represents the promontory of Punta Aderci.

You can take a panoramic route of about three kilometres (on a former railway line), overlooking the beach of Mottagrossa. Through this route you can discover on foot or by bike the picturesque region full of pine forests, valleys and Mediterranean scrub.
