Loreto Aprutino is a lovely, quiet medieval town. The first thing you will notice is Castello Chiola, a castle built on the site of a 9th-century medieval fortress. Another important sight is the church of San Pietro Apostolo (Saint Peter the Apostle), built in the 11th century.

Loreto Aprutino is located in the famous golden triangle of olive growing. The town is also famous for its olive oil production. Stock up on the delicious specialty (a great souvenir!) and perhaps visit the olive oil museum, housed in an old 19th century olive oil factory. Take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding olive groves as you stroll through the winding narrow streets.
